What is the mattress made of?

We create the Personal Comfort Mattress with 9 layers with no volatile organic compounds, keeping our mattresses green. We use only polyurethane foam that’s been approved by the independent CertiPur-US® certification program. That means it’s made without harmful ingredients (e.g., formaldehyde, heavy metals, phthalates) and doesn’t give off harmful emissions.

The Personal Comfort mattress is designed in the U.S.A. and manufactured by the producers of the Original Smart Bed, American National Manufacturing. As a leader in the mattress industry, we combine the highest quality materials with state-of-the-art technology.

The Personal Comfort mattress has been specifically designed to create the perfect balance of support and comfort at your preference. All the foams used in our mattress are CertiPUR-US certified. They are made of multiple layers for the ultimate cooling, comfort, and control. It includes the proprietary Energex™ material, which has been specifically designed to energize and slightly soften in response to body heat, and is the key to providing highly adaptive comfort, ease of movement, and excellent pressure-relief. Copper provides superior thermal conductivity. When copper particles are compressed in the comfort layer, the evenly dispersed particles form super-conductive pathways that allows excess body heat to dissipate faster. This new comfort layer is exclusive to all of our Rejuvenation Series models and is truly a game changer when it comes to personalized comfort. Our Ultra-Flex™ Air Chambers layer are a polyurethane blend air chambers allow for the ultimate in flexibility and longevity. The Ultra Flex™ air chamber can flex and contour better than a standard air chamber. Our air chambers come standard with female press fit connectors and each chamber supports up to 600 lbs.
